چکیده
Present study was designed to assess the effect of catalase on post-thaw semen quality parameters (SQPs), sperm kinematics, antioxidant and oxidative stress profiles cholesterol efflux in mithun (Bos frontalis). A total 25 ejaculates were selected based biophysical each sample split into four equal aliquots diluted (to get final concentration 60 million spermatozoa per mL) with TCG extender containing either 0 U/mL, 50 100 150 U/mL Group I, II, III IV, respectively. Frozen-thawed samples analysed for motility (progressive forward bovine cervical mucus [BCMPT]), kinetic velocity by computer-assisted analyser (CASA), viability, morphological nuclear abnormalities, acrosomal integrity, plasma membrane integrities, intra-cellular enzymatic leakage seminal biochemical (sperm markers) profiles. Study revealed an enhancement mucus), content reduction intracellular enzymes III. Moreover, intactness acrosome membranes protected significantly addition significant improvement U/ml catalase. Correlation analysis that parameters, SQPs had positive correlation other whereas these negatively correlated lipid peroxidation treated sperm. The results clearly indicated inclusion holds a clear advantage over control or cryopreservation semen. It can be concluded from present supplementation effectively utilized reduce improve mithun.

The present investigation was carried out to assess the effect of Sephadex (G-15) filtration on the post thaw bull semen quality and conception rate. Post thaw unfiltered (control) and Sephadex filtered semen from four healthy bulls (three cross bred and one pure bred Holstein Friesian) were subjected to microscopic examination viz. sperm concentration, individual motility, live sperm count and...
متن کاملEffect of pre-freeze semen quality, extender and cryoprotectant on the post-thaw quality of Asian elephant (Elephas maximus indicus) semen.
Semen cryopreservation and artificial insemination (AI) are potentially valuable methods for supporting the breeding management of endangered species like the Asian elephant. Cryopreservation of Asian elephant semen has however proven problematic with respect to maintenance of both adequate semen quality and fertility post-thaw. In this study, nine ejaculates from three adult bulls were used to...

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of the antioxidants superoxide dismutase (SOD),glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) on microscopic semen parameters andlipid peroxidation following the freeze-thawing of bull semen. Ejaculates were collected from five Holsteinbulls and pooled at 37°C. The semen samples were diluted with a CEY extender containing addit...
متن کاملFreezing stallion semen with the new Cáceres extender improves post thaw sperm quality and diminishes stallion-to-stallion variability.
Ejaculates from 7 stallions were split and simultaneously frozen in three different extenders, INRA 96 egg yolk glycerol, Ghent and the newly developed extender Caceres. After thawing, samples were evaluated for motility (CASA system) sperm membrane integrity and early membrane changes (YoPro-1/Eth staining), acrosome integrity (FICT-PNA), and mitochondrial membrane potential (JC-1) (flow cytom...
